Trinity College Multipurpose Facility

Project Outline

In August 2016, Trinity College celebrated the completion of their new Multipurpose facility. The multipurpose facility was designed to cater to a wide variety of sporting activities and assembly functions.

The planning and construction of this building, designed by architectural firm Parry & Rosenthal Architects, has been 3-4 years in the making.

To accommodate the elite sporting prowess of Trinity College, the lighting design needed to fulfil aesthetics, performance and adaptability. ETC – Engineering Technology Consultants selected Cree 228 recessed canopy lights in collaboration with Mondoluce, for the sleek, minimalist design of the luminaires to complement the architecture, ceiling and internal wall features of the newly designed Multipurpose facility. These low maintenance, energy efficient LEDs resulted in increased visibility for the multitude of internal sporting activities. The dimmable function provides lighting flexibility for assemblies via a C-Bus Lighting Control System.

The College encourages students to strive for excellence in a sporting capacity and the design of the facility reflects this.
