Joseph Banks Secondary College Stage 1

Project Outline

Joseph Banks Secondary College is a new public school located in the northern suburbs of Banksia Grove, Tapping and Carramar. Designed from the ground up with the state-of-the-art school facilities. Joseph Banks Secondary College is well equipped and encourages a group learning experience.

The development was carried out by T&Z Architects and the electrical services was designed by Wood & Grieve Engineers.

The lighting plays an important role highlighting focal points while also creating necessary ambience to integrate landscape into the architecture. The lighting design focuses on the aesthetic appeal of the buildings. While also taking into account the functional and ergonomic aspects of the spaces. All luminaires were selected to integrate into the building environment.

New technology Cree Edge LED floodlights with solar panels light the carpark to Australian Standards whilst maintaining efficient design and aesthetic appeal. Cree Edge In-direct LED post-top illuminate the general landscape ensuring visual comfort. The iGuzzini iRoll uplighters feature in the entrance hallway of each building. The iGuzzini Full wall lights, were installed for performance and halo wash effect. Consequently they highlight the feature brickwork and architectural façade. The iGuzzini Light Up were selected to highlight architectural columns and feature walls.
