Artemide is versatile, irrespective if the application requires an architectural and/or decorative solution. The 2012 Fair saw Artemide’s resurgence with outdoor products for commercial and residential applications.

Over the coming weeks Mondoluce would like to bring you several instalments of our ‘A Light Read’ news updates covering the latest releases from the 2012 Light+Building Fair in Frankfurt. The Light+Building Fair is the lighting industry’s biennial international benchmark showcase for the world’s leading designers and manufacturers of lighting products and components.
This is Mondoluce’s 6th lighting excursion to Europe and each year our delegation of clients increases. It is Mondoluce’s way of “lighting the way” for a small cross section of our design community and enriching their already high level of design expertise. This year’s delegation to Frankfurt covered disciplines from architecture, interiors, electrical and lighting from our design fraternity.

A mosaic of tendencies, new concepts and talents in the house, fashion, design and art sectors.
In January 20 and 24, Maison & Objet hosted the most important international survey brands.
In a successful format, put on show for the first time at 2011 Milan Furniture fair, Slamp showed new products collection.
The Veli ceiling light, absolute 2011 best seller, became smaller and bigger and transformed in a suspension lamp. The large version makes its debut also in Lentiflex. Faretto goes from the extreme white to the extreme black by means of an elaboration of the fume’ original one, which increases its graphic qualities. Woody, the ideal living room lamp, in its ceiling lamp version has an extension as far as ceiling. Morgana with its touch of exoticism, has a new super reflective version, with silver internal that gives a major light power.

Cree, Inc. (Nasdaq: CREE), a market leader in LED lighting, today announced the
acquisition of Ruud Lighting, Inc., a leader in LED outdoor lighting, at an
estimated net cost of approximately $525 million. Combining two highly
complementary LED innovators, the acquisition allows Cree to extend its
leadership position and increase the adoption of energy-efficient LED lighting.
The companies’ shared focus on best-in-class LED-based systems has led to
thousands of LED lighting installations over the past several years.
