Australian Institute of Architects

Mondoluce has been a proud sponsor of The Australian Institute of Architects for over 10 years. The Australian Institute of Architects is a national body consisting of almost 10,000 members across Australia and overseas. The Institute was formed in 1930 when state architectural Institutes combined to form a unified national association with the following aims:

  • To advance architecture
  • To maintain the integrity and standing of the profession
  • To promote the profession's views nationally and internationally, and
  • To encourage the study of architecture

Since then, the Australian Institute of Architects has evolved into a dynamic and progressive national organisation with active programs in many areas relating to the architectural profession. We also provide services to other sectors of the community.

By promoting better, responsible and environmental design, the Institute actively lobbies to maintain and improve the quality of our built environment. Raising design standards in our cities, urban areas, commercial and residential buildings, architects and the Institute have a major role in shaping Australia's future.

Pecha Kucha

Pecha Kucha Night was devised in Tokyo in February 2003 as an event for young designers to meet, network, and show their work in public.
It has turned into a massive celebration, with events happening in hundreds of cities around the world, inspiring creatives worldwide. Drawing its name from the Japanese term for the sound of conversation ("chit chat"), it rests on a presentation format that is based on a simple idea: 20 images x 20 seconds.
It's a format that makes presentations concise, and keeps things moving at a rapid pace.

The Design Institute of Australia

Mondoluce has been a sponsor of the WA Chapter of the Design Institute of Australia (DIA) for a number of years. The DIA is Australia's professional membership body for designers and design businesses. ? Membership in the DIA indicates your status as a qualified, experienced, ethical practicing professional while also providing you with support, networking, services and information to improve your professional practice. It provides you with a wealth of contacts, and connects you with colleagues from many industry areas.

The Australian Institute of Landscape Architects

Mondoluce has supported The Australian Institute of Landscape Architects (AILA) for numerous years. The AILA provides the primary leadership, structure and network to effectively harness and focus the intellectual energy of Australian landscape architects in the creation of more meaningful, enjoyable, equitable and sustainable environments. Increasing urbanisation and growing pressures on natural systems, reflect a complex set of social, physical, economic, aesthetic and cultural forces.
